Function
To inspect company products, to carry out defect resolution with regard to the functioning and testing of electronic parts in accordance with the Company's ISO 9001:2000 system.
Complete all required documentation maintain records in accordance with the Company's ISO 9001:2000 system. To assist in the development of new products and participating in the
Commissioning and support of Company products in accordance with the Company's ISO 9001:2000 system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
" To carry out routine inspection on all electrical, electronic, optical and mechanical parts in accordance with specifications and to IPL agreed standards. This may be within Goods Inwards, Piece Part, Sub Assembly, Final Inspection or on a patrol basis.
"To ensure that correct labels are applied to the components after inspection.
"To ensure that correct labels are applied to any defective goods and that these are kept in suitably demarcated quarantine areas.
"To ensure that any faults found are recorded as per procedure and investigated with a report issued to the Quality Control Team Leader.
"To maintain the company's ESD system and carry out ESD checks in accordance with company procedures.
"To liaise with Operations and Electronic Design regarding questions relating to electronic parts. This shall include, but may not be restricted to, problem investigation, product ionisation, test methodology and test equipment design and manufacture.
"To produce necessary documentation as required e.g. Test Specifications, DSD Assembly Packs.
"To carry out all types of environmental tests on equipment both on and off site.
"To calibrate equipment and maintain records.
"To complete time cards and any other documentation required by the company's administrative system accurately and on time.
"To comply with all Health and Safety requirements as laid down by statute or Company regulation.
"To maintain the confidentiality of company and customer supplied technical information at all times.
"To carry out any other related tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Quality Control Team Leader.
Essential Skills
- Relevant experience of fault finding to component level
- Ability to read drawings and schematics
- Full clean driving licence
- Attention to detail
- Previous use and knowledge of British Standards, Mil-Stds, IEC standards.
Terms
- Core hours from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am to 4pm on Friday with one hour for lunch. Some overtime may be required to meet business needs
