This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renown FTSE100 Organisation that have the cream of IT under their belts! Working on the largest and most complex Project in Europe, you will join the GIS team and will assist in the implementation of IPMS GIS Replacement and manage the Technology Forge applications to provide technical support and to organise and act as senior support officer for the application. You will provide day-to-day 2nd and 3rd line support to application customers and must have specialist technical knowledge of and give support for the diverse range of features of the IPMS GIS Replacement and Technology Forge applications. You will provide support on applications and integrated systems within the application team.
This role also requires developed knowledge of SQL in order to maintain/update and develop ORACLE Databases. You will document processes, standards and procedures in line with ISO20000 requirements including the identification of any service improvements, as well as maintain an up-to-date knowledge of GIS and database software, operating systems/applications, technical issues and standards/procedures.
It is ESSENTIAL that you have:
Experience of providing Application support in a busy and diverse environment.
A good understanding of Oracle and SQL software and Oracle Databases
Experience of GIS software, specifically ESRI products.
An appreciation for the need for good Customer Care
Experience of problem investigation / resolution and area of impact.
An understanding of Service Level agreements and their components
An understanding of KPI's and their components
An understanding of data protection and its implications for email and database access
An understanding of the ITIL Service Management Process and ISO20000 requirements.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing at all levels.
Ability to organise own workload and prioritise support requests
Ability to proactively identify support service improvements
Ability to demonstrate / train non technical staff in the use of IT systems
To have a sound technical knowledge base
Any Local Government experience is a PLUS!
