Senior C++ GIS Software Developer - Cambridge - £42,000



My client is looking for a Senior C++ Software Developer to develop their in house software. The post will involve developing software for the manipulation, analysis and presentation of data relevant to the company. Development experience in the field of GIS/LBS would be an advantage as would knowledge of two-dimensional geometrical techniques, spatial databases and map rendering.



This is a hands on C++ development role for the right Senior C++ Software Developer with duties that include software development : coding, testing, delivery and support; assistance with requirements gathering and software design.



The right C / C++ developer must have sound programming skills in C and/or C++ and experience with Microsoft development technologies. Familiarity with some or all of the following technologies would be an advantage: Relational databases; SQL; CORBA; Microsoft .NET.



Ideally the right C++ Developer should have sound commercial experience of algorithmic software development and experience in the areas of Navigation systems and GIS would be an advantage.



This role would suit someone with previous experience working in a digital agency environment although any background will be considered.
