Knowledge of Local Government Revenues and Benefits processes is ESSENTIAL and experience of delivering integrated business solutions using the Northgate Revenues and Benefits Application or equivalent is very desirable. ISO20000 and ITIL is an advantage. You MUST have a sound knowledge of the legislation requirements for Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing and Council Tax Benefits. Achieve specific annual objectives. Be responsible for the day-to-day support for IT relating to Revenues and Benefits business area Have exp of and implement a range of procedures e.g. ITIL/ISO20000, Release Management, IT Security, change management, risk assessment, project management standards Excellent business analysis and technical documentation To carry out design, configuration, testing and documentation of enhancements and system interfaces as required Well organised, in particular accurate recording of time spent on tasks for efficient budgeting and income generation To manage and co-ordinate applications support for a specific technical area of Revenues and Benefits Applications To respond to complex business and technical application problems, investigate root causes and manage solutions Ability to identify data anomalies and issues using SQL To work with development functions to deliver Business Transformation project interfaces and developments thus ensuring there is a managed and smooth handover between project and support To assist in the management of the Northgate Technical Support function Essential Experience/Skills Knowledge of Software development processes Strong decision making, problem analysis & solving skills Excellent communication skills Revenues and Benefits Process background Experience of ISO20000 or ITIL Oracle, SQL, Unix, FTP, XML Proactively taking measures to avoid the reoccurrence of complex or disruptive faults Management of the resolution and diagnosis of problems Experience of using Microsoft Office Products Demonstrate an understanding of the equality agenda within the business area.
