Job Description:
This FTSE100 IT Leader have a position for an experienced Housing Applications Support/ Business Analyst to join a major Project. You will have excellent technical skills including XML, Unix and FTP. Some knowledge of Local Government Housing processes and experience of delivering integrated business solutions using the Northgate Housing Application or equivalent is essential. Knowledge of ISO20000 and ITIL is an advantage.
You will provide a technical lead for projects and support of Housing development and/or service
Good Oracle, SQL and Unix skills
Excellent integration and interface skills including XML and FTP
Be responsible for the day-to-day support for IT relating to Housing business area
Excellent business analysis and technical documentation
To gather and analyse data to prepare recommendations, reports and proposals
To carry out design, configuration, testing and documentation of enhancements and system interfaces
To respond to complex business and technical application problems, investigate root causes and manage solutions
Ability to identify data anomalies and issues using SQL
To work with development functions to deliver Business Transformation project interfaces and developments thus ensuring there is a managed and smooth handover between project and support
To assist in the management of the Northgate Technical Support function
Essential Experience/Skills
Knowledge of Software development processes
Strong decision making, problem analysis & solving skills
Excellent communication skills including ability to write technical and business specifications
Housing Applications/Process background
Experience of ISO20000 or ITIL
Oracle, SQL, Unix, FTP, XML
Proactively taking measures to avoid the reoccurrence of complex or disruptive faults
Management of the resolution and diagnosis of problems
Experience of using Microsoft Office Products
Demonstrate an understanding of the equality agenda within the business area.
