UK's leading business process outsourcing (BPO) and professional services company, is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Support Analyst the primary responsibility of the role are to support the Infrastructure environment for contracts that run out of Derby. This will include responding to support calls from users, fixing faults, maintain / utilize policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Customer databases.

Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing support calls and entering accurate details into Call Logging System
3rd line Support
Monitoring calls and ensuring SLAs are adhered to
Resolving cases to user/business satisfaction ensuring user is informed of progress
Being aware of and following processes at all times
Working on Server based and other projects
Performing system changes and enhancements as required following the change control process
Assisting in documentation as required
Assisting with testing as required
Working with the problem management functions to investigate root cause of failure and ensuring preventative actions are detailed in failure reports.
Assisting with asset management.
Auditing of IT equipment

Essential Skills
•Create database objects and maintain their physical organization/relationships.
•Ensure that the application, and any enhancements, interacts efficiently with the database.
• Develop and implement database performance monitoring process and analyze monitoring data for performance optimization opportunities.
•Minimum 1 to 2 years of work experience as a Database Administrator for MSSQL or Sybase
•Solid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures
•Strong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery procedures
•Solid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of problem on overall database performance
•Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes
•Strong skills in maintenance tools and procedures
•Microsoft (Windows Server, Exchange etc)
•Networking DNS, DHCP, WINS etc
•ISA Server
•SQL Server
•Microsoft Active Directory security (Group policy, Domain structure admin etc)
•Firewalls (understanding of)
•ISA server - creating VPN and security rules
•Internet / Website security
•MacAfee antivirus

Desired Skills
•Any understanding of the principles of ITIL would be desirable.

•Any hardware accredited qualifications, MCP certificate in Windows XP or 2000 Workstation
