Our client is urgently looking for a Software Architect. This role reports to the Head of Software.

The Software Architect should be/have:

•Proactive, “can do” attitude.
•Decisive, yet collaborative – must be able to drive the software team to a consensus solution quickly
•Self starter – must be able to take on responsibility and manage own time.
•Strong problem solving skills.
•Able to cope with a fast pace of customer requirements and technology change.
•Able to take the initiative and instil order in a potentially chaotic situation
•Empathic and a strong team player.

Special Requirements:
•Strong people management/negotiation skills – must carry the team's agreement, not over-rule it
•A level of short term travel to customers, partners and suppliers will be required
•Have had full architectural responsibility for a complete product developed by a team of at least 20 to 30 engineers over at least one year
•Understanding of legacy software issues and of improving software for maintenance
