An Enterprise & Infrastructure System Architect, is required by a major telecoms provider.
Main Job Purpose
·To analyse and design the target Enterprise (including Finance and HR) and infrastructure (including LAN, WAN, Server, Desktop) system architecture for the integration of a newly acquired company.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Engage with subject matter experts from both entities to identify current system architecture
·Engage with the integration programme to identify key business drivers
·Design an optimal post acquisition system architecture including roadmaps for any consolidation, migration and decommissioning work required
·Produce outline cost model including multi-year impacts
·Define impact on business operating model and major process
·Act as technical authority to start the consolidation, migration and decommissioning work
·Ensure handover of ownership to technical and business owners as integration work completes
·Provide a skilled and professional interface into the integration programme
Skills / Attributes Required
·Experience in a lead design role for Enterprise and Infrastructure systems in a sizeable organisation (circa £1bn revenue)
·Adaptability to work in a small, dynamic workgroup with significant responsibility and short timescales for delivery
·Demonstrates consulting approach to work, focus on the business need, skilled communication, able to find any way to get the job done
·Ownership and accountability to drive results in a changing environment
·Able to build credibility based on a mix of business language communication and technical skill
·Persuasive and influential working manner at several levels of an organisation
·Exposure to full set of enterprise IT management systems and processes
