SQL DBA BASED WOKING, SURREY.
My prestigious client based in the heart of Surrey is currently looking for a experienced SQL DBA.
You will work extensively with the Systems/Development Team.
You will have database management of all production servers, including regular maintenance, daily backups, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, security checks and general database support and standards.
This will include all SQL production database servers, and all SQL database servers not in the Production environment.
You will have the following experience/skills;
Exp of reviewing configurations and maintaining optimal performance in a fast moving always available SQL environment.
Exp of working closely with developers in optimising SQL queries and improving application performance, as well as championing best practice in database use.
Extensive commercial exp in administering a mixed SQL platform SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 in .NET development environments.
You will have knowledge of SQL optimisation, performance monitoring and tuning.
Ideally you will be MS certified and have experience of application development methodologies.
It would be beneficial for you to have exp of migrations from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005.
