Our large FTSE 100 Blue Chip Organisation based in either Heathrow or Gatwick is looking for a Service Transition Manager.
Scope
The Transition team sits within the Service Delivery function and has the following accountabilities:
To design and agree Service Models for new or changed IT Services
To ensure that the IT Service can be managed, operated and supported in accordance with designs
To ensure that all projected IT Revenue costs are identified and agreed with stakeholders
To provide a consistent and rigorous framework for service acceptance, evaluating capability and risk before IT Service deployment
The potential candidate should have the skills detailed below and be able to demonstrate real world experience of working with similar accountabilities
The candidate must be prepared to be flexible with working arrangements and be motivated to succeed in a complex, challenging environment.
Stakeholders
The Transition Manager will be required to interface with the following stakeholders:
1. Project Delivery Teams and Managers
2. Support Teams and Managers
3. Service Management Teams and Managers
4. Senior IT Management
5. Business Owners of IT Services
Skills & Experience
• The suitable candidate will have 5 plus years experience working in operationally focused roles where they have been responsible for managing ITIL based processes, ideally Release Management and/or Service Level Management.
• Experience of working to extremely tight deadlines and the ability to maintain focus whilst under pressure
• Ability to motivate and influence others to contribute to results
• A highly motivated person with a pragmatic can-do, sensible attitude to IT Service Delivery
• Attention to detail and a tenacious attitude
• A self-starter with the ability to take direction and drive through for results
