Large Energy Corporation looking for a Communications Manager.
Description of Work
• To provide day-to-day management of the internal communications function
• To develop and own the internal communications strategy
• To align all Internal Comms activities with Corporate activities
• To provide communications support and consultancy to the Business Executive team, managers, project and operational teams
• To support the development of communications competencies within the business.
• To work closely with Corporate and Branch Communications Teams to ensure alignment of activities
• To implement Company-wide Internal Comms activities.
• To work with other Communications teams across the company and on projects to promote leading practice and effective cross-company working
• To support the development of the Communications Competency Group
• To work closely with other Branch/Corporate Communications Teams, and with Comms Operations Manager, to ensure all communications are consistent and aligned
• To manage and develop the Business's Intranet
• To develop and implement Employee Opinion Survey plans and activities
• To organise and manage professionally delivered communications events throughout the business, including annual conferences, senior manager conferences.
• To devise and manage appropriate reports regarding comms activities
• To manage and develop effective channels and content for communicating with employees
• To develop and implement any other such Communication activity as required by the business
• To ensure that content is of the highest quality , that channel usage is optimised and that communications effectiveness (channel and content) is reviewed regularly
• To evaluate all activities to ensure effectiveness

Mandatory Business Skills Required
• Educated to graduate level or equivalent
• Managerial experience
• Experience of working with Corporate and Branch communications teams
• Experience of managing communications teams, managing events and delivering project communications
• Experience of designing and developing content for large and diverse audiences using multiple channels, including intranet
• Experience of influencing and building credibility at a Senior Management / Director level
Role Requirements
The postholder must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge and a proven record of achievement in the field of Communications. An understanding of communication theory is essential, as well as the ability to translate this into practice. The postholder will be commercially aware and have experience delivering communication and managing teams. Well-developed communications skills will be essential.
