A prestigious FTSE 100 company is looking for a Network Technical Design Authority to join an expanding Data Network Architecture team covering the full range of services related to Network, Convergence and Security. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a blue chip company.

An experienced Network Architect is required to join their expanding Data Network Architecture team covering the full range of services related to Network, Convergence and Security. You will be part of a team supporting the Bid Managers by providing technical input on leads, designing customised solutions based on your expertise, which will include Corporate and outsourced customers.

Responsible for maintaining high-level technical solutions to deliver business objectives. This will require you to collaborate with business analysts and end user representatives to understand and shape business requirements. The team proposes and documents a high level solution to satisfy those requirements, working closely with key stakeholders. The team also drives business improvement and cost benefits through the introduction of new technology and IT solutions. This requires the team to work closely with third parties and service providers to ensure Capita and its client benefit from the latest technology offerings. This includes the ability to undertake research and develop and maintain relationships with third party contacts. Candidates are expected to have large-scale Network Architecture experience, particularly with MPLS exposure

Essential Experience/Skills
Cisco CCNP/CCDP
Checkpoint CCSA
Experience of several firewall technologies. Must have been involved in design of VPN Technologies and Encryption.
Excellent written technical documentation
Excellent communication and customer facing skills
Technical experience in the following technologies:-
Cisco routers and switches
Technical experience with Checkpoint, PIX and Netscreen Firewalls A good understanding of security policy implementation
Knowledge of IGP routing protocols

Desired Experience/Skills
Cisco CCIE

Personal Attributes
Expected to attain Security Clearance (SC) classification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and be confident in own ability to make decisions. Good communicator and comfortable talking to technical and non technical staff
Report/Process writing skills
