Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer £30-45k South Wales Due to company growth, this leading name engineering company are looking for an experienced embedded software engineer to join their design and development teams. This role offers an opportunity to learn highly desirable experience of an embedded linux platform, alongside working with cutting-edge video standards and high-speed data transmission protocols. This company offer an innovative product, with a massive potential customer base. They already have huge orders, and urgently require additional software engineers to create the next-generation versions of their core products The successful candidate will have a good background in embedded software, and ideally experience of video technologies (from CCTV companies, digital TV, etc.) - ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT ESSENTIAL! You'll work within this well-established company, which offers the exciting, friendly atmosphere of an SME, with the security of being backed by a well-known and well-established firm. This means you'll have a chance to work directly with management, and your welfare and career progression will be vitally important to the company. You'll be working on a variety of cutting edge embedded software projects, incorporating high-reliability graphical and communications technologies. Required: - Embedded C software development experience - Experience of real-time systems/RTOS Desirable: Formal design (UML/Yourdon or similar) Experience of working with configuration control and rigorous procedures (ISO, CMM, etc).
