SQ L Server DBA, Manchester

Key skills : SQL Server Database Administrator

A brand new opportunity has arisen within a leading professional services organisation based in Manchester. My client has a brand new opening for a SQL Server DBA to provide database administration, some development and general support across the company. The role will include all aspects relating to a DBA position and also includes writing of SQL queries, views, triggers, stored procedures.
Responsibilities shall include:
•Adhering to all I.T. standards, procedures, data protection and compliance, release procedures and required working practices.
•Keeping comprehensive user and technical documentation relating to databases fully up to date.
•Installations, upgrades, configuration, tuning and optimization of databases.
•Creation and maintenance of SQL queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
•Setting up, maintaining and restoring from backups including verification of disaster recovery plans.

SQL scripting experience will be advantageous, and ideally we are looking for a candidate with 3 years+ experience within a similar role.
