Job Title: Developer – Web Technologies Location: Hertfordshire Salary: £35k-£45k + Benefits Large Blue Chip Company providing comprehensive procurement and inventory management services currently require a Developer to work with some of the latest web technologies within an exciting system development environment. The role will involve working in an environment requiring small and frequent functional releases. The Developer will be responsible for ensuring code is progressed all the way through the testing and release cycle. Responsibilities: -Documenting of developed code and documenting of design specifications -Analysing business requirements and transforming them into technical design -Implementing the design to develop and test the functional requirements -Sourcing code maintenance, Peer code review, 3rd line system support and Handling change requests -Providing timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements -Assessing risk and impact on the existing system Skills required: § Proven experience with Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 and higher § Strong commercial development experience with previous exposure to any or all of the following: ASP.Net, C#, Biztalk, Reporting Services, Microsoft.Net BI, Webservices, MS Access, VBA, SQL Server 2005 § Excellent working knowledge of XML and UML § Thorough understanding of application security issues § Proven experience of maintaining SQL Server objects and handling performance issues § Demonstrable experience with using Visual Studio Team and MS design patterns The ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with demonstrable ability to work well under pressure and prioritise work demands within tight time lines.
