Position: Project Manager – IT/IS Salary: £30-50,000+ Bens Location: Preston, Lancashire, North-West
This is an excellent chance to join one of the UK’s leading Blue Chip organisations at one of their largest and most rapidly expanding Manufacturing and Assembly sites in the UK within their IT/IS department You will be responsible scoping, defining, planning, managing and delivering IS/IT based projects to meet both customer and business requirements You will have responsibility for a significant project, or for a number of smaller projects Will provide single point responsibility for the management of a variety projects, both multi discipline and multi-company. Key Responsibilities ·Ensure that all aspects of the project are fully defined to ensure customer requirements are achieved in accordance with all business and commercial criteria ·Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, budgets, risk & opportunity management plans ·Lead, control and monitor projects so that they are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality requirements, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress against plan. ·Conduct project appraisals and ensure lessons learned dissemination across other business teams. ·Manage assigned relationships with major suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure all contracts are delivered and that issues are effectively addressed. ·Liaise with all functions relevant to the delivery of assigned projects to build an integrated project team and to enable the achievement of project objectives. Experience and Background: ·Project management qualification (APM Member desirable) ·Significant previous experience as a Project Manager in the successful delivery of IS/IT based projects, utilising expertise in Requirements Capture, Planning, Monitoring, Control techniques. ·Experience of Project Managing a number of major projects (in terms of value, numbers of people and organisations involved and technical / business complexity) ·Experience of leading teams, dealing with internal & external customers/suppliers.
