Large Energy Corporation looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work in London.
Description of Work
The post holder will be a senior member of the wider cross-department Business Analysis community, and will be expected to participate in the review of new techniques and alternative approaches, as well as the development of departmental best practice.
1. An assignment will involve the detailed analysis and documentation of business processes, IT system requirements, regulatory changes, change impact, and/or business readiness for change.
2. Where required to support the IT development process, requirements will need to be specified as UML products (i.e. Use Cases etc.), or in another formal specification methodology. At this level, the post-holder will be expected to be proficient in the relevant technique.
Brief Description of Project
The analysis of business area strategy and consolidation of user requirements and specifications for very complex business processes
Contribute to the development of business area strategy
Developing supporting business cases for potential initiatives.
Assess the business impact of changes in strategy, including alterations to working conditions and practices, internal and external standards and requirements such as audit standards, data management standards, industry processes and legislation
Taking a pro-active role in improving methods & standards and identifying opportunities for operational improvement, including the potential for future and continuous improvement opportunities
Mandatory Business Skills Required
Has gained experience involving the formal analysis of customer requirements, or development of system designs; OR in a commercial/administrative/industrial working environment including significant IT experience as a user, as well as direct experience of process development and formal specification of business requirements at a senior level.
Has experience of the use of Project Planning tools and processes.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills with relevant experience of dealing with internal users, other staff, developers and third parties at a senior, strategic level.
Experience of the development and validation of business cases, with exposure to project stage approvals process.
ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis
