C++/SYBIAN/ WINDOWS MOBILE/ BREW / SOFTWARE ENGINEER/GREATER MANCHESTER £30K - £40K We are looking for a C or C++ developer, who has several years development experience and a good understanding of object-oriented design ideally in a mobile phone development environment. As a member of a growing multinational company, your task will be to work as a member of project teams developing software for the companies customers. The successful candidate will also be familiar with Symbian OS. Working on Client sites both inside and outside the UK is an integral part of the role so a degree of flexibility and willingness to travel would be needed as part of this role. What we are looking for is a Batchelors degree 2:1 or higher from a recognized university, ideally in software engineering or related subject. Alternatively a computer science based Masters degree may be considered, excellent software development skills in C or C++. The successful candidate will also have experience in the full software development life cycle, and experience of dealing with clients in particular relating technical issues to peers and non-technical management. Symbian Accreditation or Microsoft Certification, and familiarity with related mobiles technologies such as WAP, GPRS, GSM, networking protocols, would be advantageous.
