Leading publishing company requires a Unix Systems Administrator (Perl, PHP, Shell) with excellent core Unix/Linux skills.

Role - Unix Systems Administrator

The successful candidate will have Scripting/Programming ability (Perl, Shell, PHP etc), a solid understanding of virtualisation concepts, experience with VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3.x, exposure to Solaris, and food documentation skills. DNS, FTP, SMTP and HTTP. A knowledge of the following is desirable - ProFTPD, Djbdns, Postfix, Redhat enterprise Linux, SQL, Apache, Squid, NFS and experience of Mac OS x. The role will be an exciting mixture of 3rd level support and project work in a virtualised server environment (15 physical servers - 200+ virtual servers) in a small team of 4.
