To assist in the management of the Professional Services Categories, reporting to the Category Manager and the Commodities Category Manager within the Corporate Procurement Group. Corporate Procurement is responsible for all procurement relating to the provision of routinely required goods and services (i.e excludes major project activity). Security Clearance to SC highly desirable.

The role will primarily be responsible for the introduction and management of temporary Contracted staff to support projects and core activity, this will also include the management of suppliers and the internal relationships.

This will also include the management of other professional Services 'owned' contracts in terms of relationship and procurement issues along with developing and managing the supplier relationship.

Primary Duties

•Assist the Category Manager in defining the strategy, developing and managing the “Category Management” approach to cover the procurement of temporary contracted staff and regularly required commodities required internally for operations, including but not limited to travel, IT and FM commodities
•Develop market and commodity intelligence, making use of internal and external data.

•At least 3 years' relevant procurement / commercial experience.
•Knowledge and demonstrable experience of Category Management processes, tools and techniques
•Personal experience of a number of the key spend areas – knowledge of markets, suppliers etc.
•Knowledge and demonstrable experience of EC Procurement Directives

SC Clearance highly desirable.
