ASP.NET, C# Developer - Cambridgeshire - E-Business

The successful .NET web Developer will work on web services, solutions & booking engines for large clients in the travel industry such as Thomas Cook, Virgin Holidays, Expedia among others.

Amoria Bond's growing New Media client based in Peterborough, Cambs, is part of a worldwide organisation, delivering cutting-edge Web and Desktop Applications and Services to the Travel Industry.

The Development team is the heart of our client's business - designing, building and delivering the Data, Content, Applications and all supporting Services that the business supplies to their Industry clients.

Main Responsibilities

The role will entail working on the many and varied requirements within the business, designing and developing the necessary applications and services required by the business. This may include work on:

-Performing design and prototyping for required developments
-Development of Web based Applications and Web services.
-Data conversion and integration – from varied formats
-Integration of Supplier Web Services into our system architecture
-Production of statistical and analytical reporting
-Testing and debugging of existing or new applications
-Resolving other known issues
-Reproducing customer errors and identifying fixes
-Developing and maintaining product documentation.

Essential Skills/qualifications
-Must have IT/Computing/Related qualification (Minimum HND)
-Microsoft certification (MCAD) and/or any previous experience preferred.
-Knowledge in ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET, SQL SERVER 2000/2005.
-Knowledge in Object Oriented programming methods, Client/Server multi-tier applications, Data controls, Web forms etc.
-Must be familiar with development/integration of Web services
-Use of XML, XSLT, HTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript.
-Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, relational databases, database queries, stored procedures, manipulation.
