There are several large projects that require an Analyst Programmer to be involved in the full development life cycle of MIS products from gathering business requirements through to user testing and implementation. Main Duties: - Primary responsibilities are as follows: Analyse business needs and translate into business and system testing requirement documentation. Coordinate the build phase, system testing, user acceptance testing, implementation and taking full responsibility for QA. Work with business users and colleagues in the IT Department to ensure good communication and co-ordination between all related projects and systems. Secondary responsibilities: Work with the team to provide support for existing applications. This may require some out of hours work to support month end processing. Technical Skills: Technical knowledge of MIS, SAS Programming language V8 and above (SAS Base and macros) Knowledge and experience of the full development life cycle Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Power Point) The following skills would be an advantage but are not essential:Other SAS modules, Experience of Data Warehousing , Unix development environment . Experience and qualifications: Relevant degree with relevant experience, or relevant degree level equivalent experience in: Development cycle of MIS products ,Business analysis, Use of SAS, Business/System requirements gathering/formulation/structured documentation. Experience using technical skills in the financial sector. Banking/Insurance knowledge.
