JUNIOR PROJECT ENGINEER BASED NORTH SURREY/SOUTH LONDON M25 BORDERS.
My prestigious client is currently looking for a Junior Project Engineer, based just outside South London, M25 BORDERS.
For this role you can be a fresh graduate straight out of university, or with some commercial experience. Your role will be to translate technical specs into requirement specs for the various development teams. You will get full training and development if you are a fresh graduate or have minimal experience, YOU WILL BE TRAINED AND DEVELOPED.
Key skills required:
Your role will be to collect Customer requirements from External customers, internal Users, Trainers, Internal staff using the tool with customers and Developers. You will then be part of the requirements decomposition team from Customer Requirements level down through Functional Requirements and to SW Design and Test Requirements.
You will have a Telecoms Engineering and/or solid Computer Science background. You will develop skills in different software and wireless technologies (GSM, GPRS, UMTS, etc).
You will also be expected to develop product Specifications, assist with Training material preparation and Road-mapping.
Other areas of the role;
Knowledge and/ or experience working within the Mobile telecommunications transmission or core infrastructure.
Understanding of one or more of the following NEs in terms of scope, form and function: BTS, NodeB, BSC, RNC, MSC, MGW, SGSN, GGSN, OMC
Transmission technologies: PDH, SDH, Ethernet, IP/IP-MPLS, ATM, DWDM.
Systems requirements processes and industry standard tools and applications would be of benefit.eg: DOORS, Tau, Rational Rose, Borland toolsuites in SDT and/or UML.
SW experience, language knowledge: XML, Java, C++, .NET, WPF, SOA, Application Development
Platform Knowledge: cPCI, ATCA, Distributed systems.
