Position: Systems Group Leader Salary: £40-50,000 Location: Bedfordshire, Luton, Dunstable, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead 

This is an excellent chance to join one of the UK’s leading Defence businesses operating at the forefront of global technology across Land / Sea and Air Electronics Systems and Equipment Reporting directly to the Head of Systems, the Systems Group Leader will take responsibility for supporting the a large team on both a functional and project basis and lead development activities within the group. Key Responsibilities ·Support the Head of Systems in leading the development and implementation of functional initiatives, activities and processes. ·Provide day-to-day management of direct reports (leave, sick, etc) and manage their development needs and performance. ·Manage group resources (people, tools, facilities) via liaison with team leaders and with review of forward load. ·Liaise with Team Leaders to specify, plan, estimate and agree the functional resources required to deliver a Work Package within a project schedule, cost and technical requirement constraints. ·Take part in project reviews, technical reviews, design reviews and phase reviews. Key Skills ·Strong interpersonal skills – able to motivate and encourage direct reports ·Demonstratable Functional / People / Project Management Skills ·Good Software Engineering / Technical Understanding The role requires motivated individuals who are able to work flexibly and motivate those around them to achieve personal and group targets and deliverables.
