A Technical Analyst/BA Systems Analyst is required to produce the clients stage 2 requirements catalogue, create the corresponding design documentation and the build and implementation of the technical solution. To achieve these tasks, the Technical Analyst will work with other members of the Technical Team, and IT Departments. Candidates should possess the following essential qualifications, knowledge or experience: Educated to degree level or equivalent. Specialist knowledge to post graduate level or equivalent experience Evidence of further education, training and/or CPD Extensive experience as a team member in a highly complex technology based project, preferably within the NHS Able to collate and articulate information from a variety of sources, including via interviews, workshop and published material Knowledge and use of requirements analysis techniques Experience of a variety of data modelling methodologies, tools and techniques including UML, SSADM. Knowledge of systems development frameworks including AGILE and RUP Extensive EAI knowledge XML manipulation and transformation including XSLT and XPath / XQuery Web services - SOAP, WSDL, UDDI e-GIF standards HL7 Messaging technologies, web services and their ability to support a service oriented architecture (SOA). Experience of working within a project environment Understanding the wider objectives of the Programme. Interpersonal skills including: oAbility to facilitate diverse interest groups, explore diverse opinions and secure agreement on a coherent way forward oArticulate technologist, able to communicate in relevant business terms on a peer basis with clinical and business representatives. oAbility to challenge, negotiate and present solutions effectively oAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships Personal Qualities, including: oAbility to work under pressure to tight timescales oGood personal presence, drive, enthusiasm and commitment oAblility to work under own initiative and as part of a team Maintain the highest professional standards, guidance and leadership in order to motivate through personal example and commitment Competent desktop user, particularly Microsoft Office Willing to travel and work outside normal hours as required
