We are expanding our JAVA team and have a need for an Application Developer to be responsible for design and technical delivery of an application and to be a source of knowledge for other members in the team. You will undertake technical ownership, design, development and delivery of an enterprise level application.
You must be able to demonstrate, communicate and implement recognised frameworks, design patterns, tools and standards in relation to JAVA and J2EE.
Work alongside other teams in the provision of a single seamless application service to the customer.
Produce and have a mature approach to documentation and distribution of knowledge.
Ensure that quality control and quality assurance procedures are performed in accordance with development standards.

Applicant will require BC security clearance to start role and will ultimately need to be successful for SC clearance.

Essential Experience/Skills
Strong Java and J2EE experience working with enterprise level applications in a clustered environment (using a mixture of JSP, Servlets, web services, XML and ant). JDeveloper, Spring and struts
Oracle RDBMS and SQL
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Open minded, self motivated and have a ‘can do' attitude.
Adaptable and flexible to meet workload demands.
Practical and well organised
Proven ability to acquire new skills and working in a rapid-change environment.

IBatis, Oracle Application Server 10g

Sun certification in a Java related subject
