ROLE: To monitor and administer client software applications on remotely based servers.
This company develop and market an advanced range of Asset Management software solutions for the management of infrastructure assets including highways, land and property, bridges, public lighting etc. used by Local Authorities and Utilities and has an enviable record for delivering quality solutions. A major growth area for our client is Managed Service facilities whereby clients can access systems remotely which are hosted in London Docklands.
This has created an opportunity for a technical manager to monitor and control the service, some tasks of which will involve working outside of normal working hours. Liaising directly with clients you will be responsible for all technical activities, including performance monitoring, customer support, implementation, upgrades, reports and ensuring that SLA’s are met.
Ideally qualified to degree level you will be well versed in managing a complex technical environment, with experience of implementing/supporting application software on Microsoft servers. With excellent communication skills, you will be a skilled negotiator and a proven project manager with first class attention to detail. It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience of large scale databases (Oracle), web services concepts and ideally knowledge of GIS and related areas.
