World leader in nuclear programmes is seeking four Procurement Contracting Officer\Manager.
In this position you will lead, direct and control a Transactional Procurement Commodity Group to meet the business needs. This will encompass all aspects of commodity related procurement and supply chain management, including strategy development, competition processes (including compliance with European Public Procurement regulations), price analysis, negotiation, contract placement and management, contributing to the development of optimal procurement policy and assuring adherence to all relevant extant requirements. As the Contracting Officer you will be accountable to the Head of Procurement.

You will manage and direct a Transactional Procurement Commodity Group to ensure the timely discharge of allocated scope of contractual accountability, consistent with business objectives, including commercial imperatives dictated by the governing bodies, and legal requirements, executing a portfolio of work valued in total commitment >£50M per annum. You will personally sign and execute individual sub-contracts up to a value of £250K, assuring that such contracts duly protect and optimise business interests, all in accordance with individual personal delegated authority.

To be considered for this opportunity you must possess demonstrable experience gained in management of a team of professional personnel, accompanied with Procurement/Supply management experience covering a broad range of products, services and contracting strategies.

You must have a proven track record of leading major procurement activities in these areas. Proven ability to work on own initiative

It is highly desirable to possess a business Degree or equivalent Professional qualification.
Membership of CIPS at Chartered/Affiliate status.
