Project Manager required to work within the Business Solutions and Innovation team, reporting to the Solutions Delivery Manager. The post holder will join a team of professionals with end-to-end delivery responsibility across a wide and varied business change project portfolio.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project end to end, from inception through to delivery.
The post holder will work with senior stakeholders and be responsible for taking the lead in projects which range from process re-engineering initiatives through to technical infrastructure change.
The purpose of the role is to manage the successful delivery of complex IT and Business Change projects.
The role operates on an assignment basis managing virtual project teams in a matrix managed environment.
Technology / IT Skills:
• Expert knowledge of PRINCE2 to at least Practitioner Level or a Full Member of The Association for Project Management (APM). An in-depth understanding of governance models and processes within ICT and government sectors • An understanding of financial planning and reporting methods. • An understanding of specialist software packages such as project planning software, Hydra. • An understanding of Desktop applications such as, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
This position is for the management of a project to load data, currently collected on spreadsheets, into the Oracle HRMS HR/payroll system. This will involve managing activities such as: • Securing agreement from the business about requirements • User testing to establish feasibility • Development of migration software • User acceptance testing • Data migration into the live system
