HP, Configuration, Storage, SAN, HP – Our client is a leading provider of Data Centre solutions including systems, services and infrastructure to Enterprise clients. As one of the UK’s largest providers of enterprise IT solutions they hold accreditations with HP, Cisco, Oracle and Microsoft.

Performing more of an office based function; your role involve providing expertise to support client proposals/ quotations, using the HP configuration tools and responding to product related questions such as compatibility, obsolescence, validity of configurations
You will also participate in meetings to assist account managers/ pre-sales teams in gathering requirements, also drawing up parts lists and perform technical checks on existing configurations to resolve issues with vendor equipment.

An IT professional ideally from a Systems House/ Supplier environment; you will have HP-specific knowledge of the tools and processes used by HP/Cisco/ VMWare; regarding configurations, quotations, pricing and product ordering. You will also have knowledge of HP enterprise/data centre products such as DL / BL servers, Itanium servers and enterprise storage arrays (MSA, EVA, XP).
Our client is also willing to consider candidates from a HP technical background (i.e. technical response centre) – looking to move into a hybrid role, providing administrative support for system configurations.
