Working on some of the most advanced engine development test cells in the world at the companies High Horse Power Engine Plant, you’ll be recognised as the in-house expert; fine tuning and troubleshooting the data acquisition systems, managing software upgrades and enhancements and suggesting future refinements. Your responsibilities will include managing Asset software upgrades and enhancements. You’ll trouble shoot the Asset system and manage the final closure of problems and issues, and with the help of the support group in the US, you’ll develop and implement fast track solutions. You’ll support the operation of the Particulate Matter system – QNX4 (Asset). As your knowledge grows, you will become the power user of Asset and provide instruction to others on use of the system. Another key area will be driving short and long term improvements in emissions utilisation and data quality by using Asset tools. In addition you will provide day to day test cell data Acquisition system support. Essential Skills & Experience: Ideally with a degree in software or engineering, you will have significant experience in troubleshooting software code in a programming language such a C++. You will be skilled in Script writing in QNX or UNIX platforms.Previous experience with engine control systems, PLC’s and data acquisition systems will be welcomed. Strong PC, data gathering and analysis skills are, of course, vital.
