Our client is a market leader in the Events industry. They have a diverse portfolio with events and related products located in North America, Europe and Asia. They are looking for a Delegate Sales Manager to join their team.
DELEGATE SALES MANAGER - The candidate?
The candidate will be responsible for selling paid delegate passes to our industry-leading events as well as paid subscriptions for one of our websites. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business, maximizing revenues from current clients, building effective relationships with key decision-makers, understanding customer goals and communicating our ability to support customers' needs with our global offering of live events and cutting-edge news and insights subscription tool. The candidate will be responsible for actively soliciting accounts primarily via phone and will work closely with the Marketing team to generate and execute targeted call scripts and will follow-through on lead-generation activities.
DELEGATE SALES MANAGER - The role...
The primary function is to meet or exceed delegate and subscription sales using a consultative selling style while being personable, professional and accommodating.
Develop a thorough understanding of the product platform and the global portfolio of events in order to identify the personalized needs of the target customer and successfully communicate the benefits of our offerings.
Perform extensive research on marketplace developing lists of new prospects and lists of existing accounts for the follow-up process.
Confers with the Marketing team and Show Directors to develop growth opportunities.
Work with the Marketing Team to segment data and create call scripts that are highly personal and targeted.
Successfully liaise with Marketing, Editorial and Content teams to generate custom lead generation tools for audience conversion. Examples may include whitepapers, newsworthy articles, industry leader Q&A.
Generate direct sales from cold calling, follow up calls, and face-to-face meetings as necessary.
Prepare summary activity reports detailing account contacts, product, competitive and market information via Salesforce database.
Maintain and utilize Salesforce database for all client contact and scheduling.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director.
