No two days are the same for you as an Application Support Analyst. As a product owner you'll plan and strategize to safeguard against problems in the first place; regularly evaluating the health of the application, identifying and recommending improvements. Another day your efforts might be directed towards providing on-call tech support to an application's users via emails or live chat.

You and your role
You use your skills on proactive monitoring of live service, analysis, translation of operational requirements, troubleshooting, incident management and a range of Network and Infrastructure problem resolution. It's a really varied, valued and interesting role.
You will act as a real partner to our teams and carry out operational reviews to help identify and drive business process improvements. You'll also drive automation in business applications, and take satisfaction in continuous service improvement, efficiency and outstanding customer service.
You'll be working with and Cloud (AWS and Azure) environments and traditional datacentres. You'll have the opportunity to train, develop and be mentored by peers and senior members of the infrastructure, software development and architecture community. Allowing you to craft your very own career path within anyone or all of those disciplines.
What are we looking for?
You are a phenomenal communicator; being able to offer best in class customer service to your service users and customers
You're a product and tech whizz; You'll provide knowledge of IT Infrastructure like Networks, Servers (Windows, Unix, Linux), Storage, Databases. ORACLE, SQL
You're a risk detective; Identifies, prioritizes and diagnoses incidents in accordance with procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and escalates to various Delivery Leads and IT Service Manager
You're a trouble-shooter; you take ownership of an issue until a new owner has been found or the problem has been mitigated and/or resolved
You're comfortable with ambiguity; you can adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions and to cope effectively with complexity and change
Where will you work?
BPDTS Ltd provides dedicated services to the Department for Work and Pensions. Our digital, data and technology specialists work closely with experts in DWP Digital's community to make digital services quicker, simpler and more efficient for the millions of people that use them.
You'll join us in our easy-to-reach digital hub in Newcastle. We provide the latest tech and tooling and foster a collaborative culture to help our agile, multi-disciplinary teams think big and try new things.
