Description

About Us

Master of Malt is a multi-award-winning online spirits retailer, recently named Global Online Retailer of the Year for the sixth time in seven years at Whisky Magazine's Icons of Whisky 2018. Re-booted in 2009, we're known not only for our vast range of single malt Scotch whiskies, fine spirits and more, but also for our market-leading focus on innovation and customer experience.

The culture here is one of hard work but also great fun. We like to think of our business as a creative, driven, fast-paced, informal place to work. We have a certain way of communicating, which is very definitely a conscious part of our brand. We're not afraid to take some risks, and we're not afraid to indulge our silly side.

The Opportunity

As we are experiencing rapid growth, we are moving our support functions away from a team of generalists, towards expert levels of support in various areas of our tech stack.

As part of this effort, we're seeking an experienced ERP Administrator.

At the moment, we use NetSuite with various plugins for finance, analysis, planning etc. and Sage for HR functions. In the fullness of time, we will seek to migrate towards a common platform, either by migrating everything into NetSuite, or potentially moving everything onto a tool such as Workday.

As a result, the successful candidate will not just be administering a system in place; they will be performing market analysis, playing a key role in selecting our technology direction, and owning projects to move us in that direction.

You'll work with a focussed and growing team of first class systems administrators and leaders - some joined us as graduates, while others are experienced professionals hired from the likes of Netflix.

Who we're looking for

You love to learn, but are smart enough to know that the latest "cool" technology might not be the right long term choice.

You will love working in a team, be confident to advocate for what you believe in, but humble enough to understand that the bigger picture will occasionally bring constraints.

You are confident enough to speak up when you see things being done wrong.

You understand that if a system doesn't work for the user when they need it, then it doesn't work. You will understand the need to respond to user issues, whether it's as simple as login through to more complex systemic issues, as quickly as possible. The ERP system being stopped means a large portion of the business being stopped.

The work is challenging, interesting and important. You'll join a passionate and dedicated team working hard to build something they love.

The successful candidate will:

Be experienced with one of the major ERP systems, ideally NetSuite, but if you're an expert with Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, SAP, Workday etc., that will work too.
You will have experience of implementing major new functionality, either through plugins, or new features within the base product.
You are an effective communicator, as happy dealing with internal customers face to face as you are over Slack.
You will have a track record of working with business users to define their business process, and taking that through to implementation.
You will have experience of working with, and managing, external consultants for the implementation of features.

Why Work for Us?

Other than the standard benefits you expect to see from a business (think pension, cycle-2-work scheme, free eye care vouchers, childcare vouchers) we also offer?

Flexible working - We're focussed on productivity, not the clock. We'll work with you to make sure you're happy with how and when you work.
Free food - A hungry worker is not a happy worker. We stock our kitchens with what you need to get you through the day.
Free fancy coffee - George Clooney endorsed, no less...
A relaxed working environment - There are no suits and ties here (unless you insist).
A challenge - The opportunity to make a difference to the future of the business. It is our people who put us in the 2017 Sunday Times Fast Track 100.
Personal Days - Seven completely flexible personal days on top of your annual leave, because we all need a duvet day from time to time.
A healthy staff discount on our world-class range - Just in case that makes a difference.
(Un)healthy irreverence - National pizza/doughnut/pie/lemonade/etc day? We got it covered.
