Cloud IT is a Managed IT support service provider based in Watford, due to the growth in the business we're looking to add more members to our team and hence looking for an additional support engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for any applicant to grow his/her skillset.
A suitable candidate should have at least 2yrs experience working as an IT Support engineer, Service Desk Analyst, Helpdesk Engineer, Desktop Support Analyst, 1st / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer or similar role with 1st / 2nd line support experience within IT.
It is essential to have basic technical knowledge covering Active Directory, Windows OS / Servers, Exchange Server, MS Office 2010/ 2013/2016, Office365, VoIP phones, hardware (printers, laptops?etc.).
The role is customer facing so ideal candidate is also required to be well spoken and have good communication skills.
Answer telephone support calls and gather problem information.
Evaluate inquiry by determining nature of issue e.g. hardware, software, or user.
Provide remote/telephone support for customer's IT issues.
Resolve inquiry by researching documentation; providing answers; referring to appropriate resources.
Liaise with hardware/software vendors as and when required.
Log support tickets in the system and follow up on daily basis
Prepare new hardware for onsite installation
Onsite visit for tasks that cannot be carried out remotely.
