The opportunity: We have an opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect to support our major customer Transport Scotland working from Central Glasgow and liaising with Systems Engineering teams based from Cubic's Stockton office. You will support Transport Scotland with identification, articulation, understanding business problems and developing their strategic Intelligent Transport Solutions (ITS) roadmap. You will work closely with customers in Scotland to propose, justify and deliver strategic initiatives through to resolution.
This role will result in a common engagement model with our customers and other stakeholders to ensure that requirements to implement solutions are well documented and understood; ready to be handed on to our design and implementation teams. The role will also work with the customer to assist with the definition of new initiatives. In terms of day to day responsibilities, you will work with existing and potential supply chain partners and support the identification of solution delivery options whilst developing, planning and monitoring to support the delivery of projects. You will manage teams comprising Engineers engaged in design and development work and will have the opportunity to utilize your Bachelor's Degree or relevant field experience. What we're looking for in you:
To be successful in this role, you will already have proven experience as a Solution Architect, fundamentally we are looking for strong, demonstrable experience in the ITS domain and an ability to bring Cubic together with the customer and other partners through a clear and holistic understanding of the problems faced and the solutions available. Key areas of experience will include business analysis, software system specification and design, road scheme design and systems integration.
What you need to know: You will be employed on a full time basis from an area of Central Glasgow with an opportunity to work from home within Scotland depending on business requirement. A full UK driver's license is required as traveling within the areas of Scotland will be essential.
