Working within our IT department the Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for gathering and understanding the business needs of stakeholders within specific projects and generally in relation to our systems. The BA will then ensure, together with the Projects and Development teams, that the requirements are accurately translated into system developments. The BA will be working across a range of projects; both complex and relatively straight forward.
As a BA you will work closely with various business functions to identify how Business Change can support delivery of the following:
-Process Change -People Change -Technology Change -Business Transformation -Take a wide view of business needs, exploring feasibility and commercial viability of various Change programmes or projects.
In the role you will also identify and assist with business readiness activities to ensure that the business solutions are adopted effectively. To apply for this role you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively explain complex technical ideas in a non-technical way and how that relates to the supporting business change.
The role would suit a new graduate from within a relevant discipline, or someone with previous experience from within a similar BA or Project Management position.
The primary duties of the role will be-
-Managing and leading the requirements workshops -Eliciting and analysing business level and detailed requirements to ensure successful solutions are pursued -Modelling and re-engineering business processes -Managing requirements and overall requirements scope -Maintaining relationships with business stakeholders and manage expectations -Producing documentation of requirements using agreed templates -Where appropriate, supporting systems and user acceptance testing and assisting in the validation of test scripts -Sharing knowledge and expertise with other members of the team
