Overall Purpose:

An IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing customers with a full suite of computing services, including; hardware, software, print, voice & data, server and storage, while ensuring availability, reliability, usability and efficient problem resolution. Partner with regional business leaders to perform requirements gathering, research and analysis in order to provide solutions to business needs that yield business value. Understand governance frameworks such as ITIL and work within established IT processes and procedures.

The IT Support Engineer will perform a wide range of general IT duties including Helpdesk support, PC Administration, deployment and troubleshooting, Server, Network and storage system support and maintenance, systems analysis and design and project work as required.

Key Accountabilities:

+ Providing IT support and assistance to internal customers with a view to achieving a high customer satisfaction rating averaging 4.8/5.

+ Providing timely provision of computing hardware to customers

+ Providing education and training on IT systems

+ Analysing and troubleshooting problems


The IT Support Engineer will be granted user accounts with administrative privileges which will enable them to create, change and manage computer resources such as PC's, Users, Phones, Databases, applications.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Qualification/Experience or Skill Must/Desirable

A Level's or Diploma in a related domain Must

Relevant IT qualifications such as (MCSE, CCNA, VCP) Must

Certified in ITIL Desirable

Good spoken and written English Must

Ability to solve problems Must

Proven track record in a similar role Must

At least 5 years of relevant experience Must
