Incident & Problem Manager

ShortList Recruitment are looking for an Incident & Problem Manager to join a new service desk for a software house in Stockport.
The role of Incident & Problem Manager is to ensure that all IT services are being managed to the required levels set by the business.

The Incident & Problem Manager will:

* Need to understand and apply the Incident Management process and be able to apply the process to drive the Service Desk to achieve SLA's.
* Create track and follow through on any problems relating to incidents.
* Lead major problem reviews
* Facilitate and lead major incidents
* Collaborate between the technical teams
* Provide MI relative to Incident/Problem management
* Ensure compliance with appropriate security measurement (ISO / GDPR / DPA)
* Provide and assist in mentoring and leadership for the service desk teams

The Incident & Problem Manager must be able to collaborate with internal and external parties:

* Internal - Product Managers, R&D, Sales, CIO and IT Heads of
* External - Customers, third party providers and industry bodies

The Incident & Problem Manager must have:

* In depth-understanding of the services provided
* Significant Incident/Problem experience supporting business critical technology/infrastructure
* Strong communication skills (both technical and non-technical)
* The ability to motivate others, and embrace change

In order to be considered for the Incident & Problem Manager you should have the following skills and experience:

* Experience running major incidents
* ITIL (Foundation as a minimum)
* Relevant previous experience
* Understand problem management techniques
* Experience creating reports

The successful Incident & Problem Manager will be eligible for a salary of up to 32,000 with a great benefits package.
This Incident & Problem Manager role is based in Stockport, and is commutable from Manchester, Wythenshawe, Wilmslow, Altrincham, Knutsford and Warrington.
