As Head of Ecommerce your main objective is to drive profitable multi-channel growth for the Clothingsites.co.uk fascias, Woodhouse and Brown Bag Clothing.
You will be tasked to lead and develop your multi-channel team to deliver sales and profit targets for the year. Your department must co-ordinate the day-to-day multi-channel activity and report on all progress. It's essential that you continuously identify any and all commercial opportunities that lead to an improvement in sales, product profit and a reduction in multi-channel costs.
Key factors of the role involve the content and design of the website and overseeing key matters like online marketing and talent management. Another key focus for Head of Ecommerce is conversion. You will be a key member of the trading team that meets weekly to discuss and agree key trading actions to maximise sales.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Ecommerce are:
Design and execution of ecommerce strategy and roadmaps, developing schedules and timescales
Talent management and progress monitoring, overseeing a team of designers and marketers
Work closely with the technical team to drive site optimisation across desktop and mobile channels
Manage ongoing site optimisation, propose changes and initiate actions to support trading
Ownership of all user journeys, continuously providing insights to management teams
Deploy on-site merchandising tools to facilitate better user experience and ultimately improve sales
Work with the Buying and Merchandising teams to evaluate, plan and optimise campaigns around seasonality and changing external factors
Develop affiliate marketing programs
Oversee marketplace sales and strategy
Monitor web analytics and internal data sources, implementing continuous reporting and analysis on conversion, engagement and success metrics
Keep up-to-date with Ecommerce technology, trends and opportunities
Deploy SEO/ PPC/ CRO and UX best practices
Develop our Email Marketing programs utilising CRM, segmentation and automation
Develop our Customer Loyalty programs
Manage relationships with existing third party providers
The user interface of our website and overall user experience is very important in the completion of all online transactions. As Head of Ecommerce, you will oversee the look, feel and design of our websites, working closely with all in-house resource and external third parties. You will help create an optimised UI and website structure, with the aim of making the user journey friction free, speedy and secure.
Implementing best in class multi-channel acquisition techniques to ensure that high volumes of new customers are acquired profitably by the business through all appropriate channels of acquisition. Developing an acquisition model that considers the cost of acquisition in the context of the contribution per order and the expected lifetime value of the customer.
Not only does the website require management but it is also essential to manage and develop the team. Leading, motivating and developing the multi-channel team to ensure high levels of job satisfaction and colleague retention. You will agree appropriate KPIs for all team members and monitor their performance, holding weekly team meetings to ensure the team are keep up to date with developments.

The Ecommerce team, also work closely with our in-house IT and development department.
Another key objective is planning ahead and having a full digital marketing plan for the year and ahead. This plan will identify areas that need developing including introducing sales campaigns, exclusive offers and most importantly SEO and PPC campaigns. You will execute a routine keyword strategy review and stimulate the copy or descriptive content that could possibly increase page ranking and traffic.
It is essential that we monitoring web traffic statistics daily so having a full understanding of analytical tools is essential. You will use analytic tools to analyse all behaviours and patterns such as bounce rates, time on page and referrals in order to provide us with a detailed insight and in-depth analysis. It's important as a business that we act on this analysis therefore observing and improving our results. Maintaining, developing and advancing our website in such a way that continuous improvements to visitor numbers, get to product, add to basket, checkout completion and conversion rates are delivered.
Introducing segmented customer life cycle marketing, life-time value modelling and appropriate reactivation campaigns including: abandoned cart emails, new customer nursery programmes, post-purchase surveys and customer reviews.
Must have previous experience of heading up an Ecommerce team and a proven track record of successful Ecommerce
A strong knowledge and passion of user experience design
Strong knowledge of conversion rate optimisation techniques
Knowledge and understanding of Digital Marketing and CRM
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to analyse and interpret data and create actions based on findings
Self-motivated, detail orientated and able to prioritise own and team's workloads efficiently; effectively prioritising projects according to tight deadlines
