An experienced Unix Systems Team Leader is required for a permanent opportunity in the West Midlands. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for effective provisioning, operation, and maintenance of the client's' Unix and associated Services and managing the team responsible for these areas.
Manage \ support Unix environments
Management of WebLogic \ SOA environments day to day
Ensure the security, integrity of the Unix / Linux / AIX Systems
Responsible for the support and delivery of WebLogic \ SOA
Measure and maintain SOA and UNIX infrastructure against SLA and performance metrics.
Responsible for providing support and skills coaching for other team members
Adopt industry best practises
Ability to work outside hours
To communicate and liaise with all levels of staff
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience;
Proven experience of LINUX \ Redhat \ AIX OS environments
Knowledge and experience of Tomcat \ Apache
Knowledge of SAN technologies and techniques
Knowledge of enterprise monitoring software and procedures
Ability to manage small technical teams
Demonstrate a strong ability to prioritise work and activities
Perform regular proactive capacity planning and analysis.
Provide technical advice and guidance to users and IT
Undertake regular performance management duties in line with standard company practises.
Good communications skills
A good understanding of ITIL
Experience of SOA \ WebLogic technologies
Industry recognised certifications
Knowledge of V7000 or NETAPP
Knowledge of IBM PureFlex architecture
Monitoring tools - SolarWinds
HP Data protector administration and configuration
