Description

Our client, based in the Bridgend area, are currently recruiting for an IT Helpdesk Advisor to provide 1st line support to their clients. Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week

Between 7am - 8pm, Monday to Saturday. Full flexibility required.

Location:

Based at Waterton Industrial Estate, Bridgend. Please look into transport links for role. Free car parking on site

As an IT Helpdesk Advisor you will be required to:

  • Be readily available to answer the phone to our clients in a professional and efficient manner
  • Provide front line troubleshooting, diagnostics and to provide technical fixes
  • Support a variety of custom made/bespoke applications, Microsoft applications and desktop applications as well as a variety of off-the-shelf industry tools
  • Support networks, hardware and printers etc
  • Actively employ, share and contribute to the company's knowledge base
  • Manage open incidents in line with industry best practice guidelines
  • Support local and global clients
  • Take control, understand goals and own your performance.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A sound knowledge of IT including an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications
  • Problem solving
  • Trouble shooting
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Able to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Punctual and reliable, with a flexible attitude(Please note these skills are desirable only. If you have an IT qualification or you are passionate about IT in your spare time please get in touch as this could be a great opportunity for you)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Helpdesk Advisor on a Service Desk
  • An understanding of working to service level agreements
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • ITIL awareness

Due to the location of this position in the Bridgend area, it would be useful if candidates are able to drive as public transport links are limited.
