They're looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to ensure the 24/7 production environment is always up and running. Please note that this role will NOT suit somebody who is currently at 1st Line Support level.
As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you'll be in a critical position responsible for providing a support service that ensures all IT equipment and infrastructure is running to optimum performance. You'll also be involved with running specific projects across the site whilst performing random site audits and executing change management requests.
To succeed in this role of 3rd Line Support Engineer you'll need to be of graduate calibre and have experience of a similar role (3rd line support) and Cisco. It's essential that you have a background in Networking (LAN / Wan and Wireless) along with a detailed knowledge of core internet technologies (routing, switching, DNS, OSI etc). Telecom knowledge (VOIP / SIP) and project management experience will certainly hold you in good stead (as would Linux / Unix experience). Please note that this role will NOT suit somebody who is currently at 1st Line Support level.
