attractive salary and flexible office/site/homeworking
If you're a Business Analyst who likes to spend up to half your time working on-site, tackling one set of challenges one day and another the next and having the variety and depth of work that keeps you on your toes and learning from different clients, this is the BA role for you.
Add in the fact that you'll be working for a rather large business - a leader (we're talking Premier Division here) in business process outsourcing. Factor in all that implies by way of rewards, benefits, training and career development. Then think what it's like to be working for a firm with a proven track record of getting to know their clients inside out before deploying its comprehensive portfolio of project office offerings, including consulting, project management, PMO, systems integration, and software development. This is business analysis at the sharp end, all with a view to helping clients make the best possible use of their own technology, and it's professionally demanding and rewarding in equal measure.
More specifically, you'll be parachuted into sites across scotland, working in settings ranging from Financial Services to Telecoms (and beyond), bringing your business analysis skills to bear on a wide variety of their clients' businesses. This means you'll need first-class communication and presentation skills, aided and abetted by experience of running results-driven workshops and using structured methodologies and techniques to shine a light at a conceptual level where business objectives and requirements may not be well-defined.
You'll need experience of every stage of business analysis, ideally gained within a large company environment and preferably coupled with knowledge of the financial sector and/or telecoms. Demonstrable change experience and a CV that includes a mix of business and IT projects (to give you a full 360 view) are also essential, while Prince 2 certification would be an advantage, as would understanding of how a BPO operates.
Yes, as the job title implies, you'll be peripatetic (travelling out and about) but the good news is that, as well as a comprehensive expenses package, you won't spend more than two nights away from home per week and will be able to work from your base office or home for the rest of the week.
Please apply online or send your CV to Susie (or call me on for further information).
