? The successful applicant will be part of a Global Anti-Money Laundering Monitoring and Testing team that manages the identification and provision of testing data for multiple compliance testing reviews, with strong emphasis on technology and systems workflows to assure the integrity of the data being tested while fostering a "team" approach to compliance testing. The applicant should understand the systems flows and provides data for periodic testing of the compliance control framework and ensure the integrity of the data that is being reviewed. Establishes working relationships with business partners and across Global Businesses, Global Functions, and jurisdictions within the second line of defence, in order to obtain reasonable assurance that the Business is operating in line with relevant laws, regulations, codes and HSBC Group Standards within Financial Crime Compliance.
Impact on Business
Maintains current knowledge of business processes and operations and compliance requirements, and pertinent internal regulatory policy and procedural changes.
Support the team in the evaluation of business controls and operational risks related to technology systems, and report findings on data integrity weaknesses.
Provide guidance to the business and Compliance Management in determining the effectiveness of their compliance control environment.
Carry out all aspects of testing activities from all scoping, population identification, sample sizes, and selections, testing conclusions and application to the total population.
Customers / Stakeholders
Work closely to support the Management team within Technology Monitoring and Testing.
Work effectively with the respective the Global FCC M&T Teams.
Work effectively with the respective the Regional and in Country Monitoring and Testing teams globally.
Work with other stakeholders such as but not limited to Business Risk Compliance Monitoring (BRCM), Operational Risk, Assurance and Group and Group Internal Audit.
Leadership & Teamwork
Working with Senior Management of Technical Testing teams in FCC M&T and with the Global Monitoring and Testing functions to provide support at a Global/Regional and Country level.
Participate in the review of testing strategies globally and the development and execution of the annual and periodic testing activities, as articulated in the Compliance Functional Instruction Manual (FIM).
Work with the Global ABC, AML and Sanctions M&T Team as required by management.
participates in special compliance reviews, risk self-assessment projects, and any additional assignments/projects as required by management
Operational Effectiveness & Control
Understands testing objectives and scope of work.
Ensures overall execution of projects, from planning through issue identification, final report preparation and issue follow-up/resolution.
Issue reports and its findings appropriately, including testing and sampling methodologies and results, and that proper review documents are maintained.
Pro-actively assist management in providing samples for testing and identifying and provide data integrity weaknesses, thereby fostering a stronger compliance culture.
Work effectively with the Head of M&T Compliance, Global Business Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.

FCC Compliance is going through a period of rapid and deep change both internally and externally. Internally we are restructuring the Group's footprint, ensuring that these businesses are run consistently and globally.
The amount of change internally and externally calls for the job holder to be alert and adaptable to developing requirements, whilst also delivering challenging targets.
? Managing the demands of multiple diverse aspects of the role (e.g. operating across more than 60 jurisdictions).
Implementing and managing a uniform approach to operations, in view of disparate operating procedures already in operation (within the organisation and within departments) and the unique issues, requirements and problems associated with each.
The jobholder will be required to work as part of a Global team of Compliance monitoring and testing specialists covering all business lines and functions. In order to meet regulatory expectations and to provide Senior Management with up to date information regarding standards of compliance with applicable rules, a key objective of the role, will be to ensure the AML Risk Assessments and the Annual Compliance Monitoring and Testing plans are delivered on time.
Management of Risk
? Be aware of the Operational Risk, primarily Business Regulatory Risk associated with the business. Monitor in accordance with the Principal Accountabilities set out above.
? Playing an active role in supporting management of the Compliance Risk Assessment and annual CMAT planning process across different business lines on an ongoing basis.
Observation of Internal Controls
? Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
To assist in the discharge of accountabilities set out in the Legal & Compliance FIMs by proactively assisting FCC/RC Compliance Managers in their responsibilities to assist management in identifying and containing compliance risk, monitoring, reporting and certification, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years proven and progressive financial services audit, operations and/or compliance experience or equivalent, preferably in a large bank environment.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
Good managerial, communications, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, project management and planning skills.
Strong proficiency in automated tools and techniques such as DBMS, Excel and data analytical tools such as ACL or Spotfire.
Working knowledge of assigned businesses, products, operations, systems and organization and understanding of all significant regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the business.
Understanding of operational risks and associated business workflows.
Experience with forensic data testing design and interpreting data queries.
Proficiency with banking systems, databases, and banking products.
Depending on the role, required professional certification may include: CAMS, CANNON Trust, CISA, CRCM, CCRP, CIA, CFSA, CPA, etc.
? Experience of participating in cross border projects and undertaking functional reviews.
? Ability to develop practical and cost effective solutions to complex global issues.
