Job Title: 1st Line IT Support
Salary: 18,077 annum plus pension scheme, health care plan and more
Location: Bodmin, Cornwall

An innovative company, providing IT support solutions to a multitude of clients across the UK, is seeking a first line IT help desk operative who is experienced in providing IT support and possess excellent communication skills.

You will join the IT support team in their head office based in Bodmin and assist them by being the first point of call for customers with service desk queries. You will be required to diagnose and either resolve or escalate those queries, whilst ensuring that SLAs are met and a positive relationship with the customer is maintained.

Responsibilities Include:

* Logging service desk queries
* Resolve any software/hardware issues, or if you are unable to do so, escalate them promptly
* Provide support to end users by fixing the issue or informing the customer of a solution
* Effectively communicate with colleagues and other departments, highlighting potential problems when necessary
* Manage own workload and ensure completion of tasks set by management

Essential Skills Required:

* Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
* Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and via email
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload

Desirable Experience:

* Use of an IT Service Management system to allocate and monitor support tasks

* Knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux
* Have previously dealt with clinical safety
