Broster Buchanan are working with a key client that are looking to recruit an Portfolio Office Analyst. The Portfolio Analysts, as experts in portfolio management and portfolio management methodologies, will provide support to the portfolio governing bodies and Head of Business Transformation Office.
The Portfolio Analysts manage the Business Transformation Office activities and ensures incoming pipeline; portfolio trackers; programme and project scope; financials; risks and issues are proactively managed through the governance processes and forums.
This role is responsible for establishing and tracking key Portfolio levers, ensuring 'one version of the truth' with regards to Portfolio MI and ensuring appropriate management action is taken as required. The role will also be the key point of contact for all Business Transformation Office processes and methodology, championing change governance.
The role is top-down focused in terms of process and standardised ways of working, as well as bottom-up in terms of gathering timely and accurate data inputs, presented in a format appropriate to audience
As Portfolio Office Analyst will:
Maintain global portfolio's for all Change Initiatives from idea through to closure
Manage incoming pipeline through the governance approval process co-ordinating relevant submissions into the appropriate forums
Prepare constraints and proposed prioritisation for portfolio selection
Manage & track key Portfolio MI data points. These could include:
Financial: funding; cost of change (actuals, forecast, baseline) & benefits
Scope; Plan and Milestone tracking (progress perspective)
Capacity and Demand tracking
Project Health Criteria
Path to Green activity
Review and analyse data points, challenge Change community as required and escalate as appropriate
Review risks and issues, proactively challenge and escalate as appropriate
Develop and maintain repository of key programme/project assumptions and dependencies
Project Portfolio Management Tool support & maintenance
Assist with Annual Investment Planning Process
Highly experienced PMO Analyst with substantial experience working at a management level in a complex fast paced portfolio environment.
Self-aware, motivated, comfortable with dealing with ambiguity and a high degree of personal and professional integrity
Hands-on mentality, attention to detail and focused on facilitating the portfolio governance processes.
Experience of portfolio, programme and project management reporting
High quality delivery mind-set, strong process & procedural design and execution capabilities
Ability to share best practice, analyse performance management information and monitor programme and project activities to make decisions and drive performance improvement across Travelex change processes
Excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to work collaboratively at all levels to govern delivery of portfolios and resolve day to day issues
Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to communicate with clarity and professionalism
Seek feedback from change community to support process improvements
Location: Peterborough with travel to the London office (2 days a week)
