Job title: Project Manager Location: Cambridge Salary: 40,000-46,000 Type: 12 Month FTC Company description: Our client, a successful IT Services business, is looking to recruit a talented Project Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract (FTC). Ideal Candidate description: You will have a strong IT back ground and have worked with in an ITIL environment. You will have a Prince 2 qualification or equivalent. You will also have experience with change management and running change initiatives. You will have experience in working in both a technical role and customer facing role. You will also have experience in managing complex projects with evidence of budget oversight. Ideally you will have a Degree in Informaiton Technology or in a related field. Job description and key responsibilities: Overall responsibility for managing projects as assigned by Head of Project Services & Demand Management. Developing a plan to achieve the deliverables and then implementing the plan, ensuring that progress is maintained in line with objectives. Utilising resources allocated to be accountable for the successful delivery of the project in terms of time, cost and quality. Responsible for managing project scope, budget, issues, risks and changes. Ensure that the sponsor is accountable for achievement of the defined benefits. Assisting with the governance of the project portfolio from initiation through to project completion in relation to tracking progress and managing costs and risks. Responsibility for the quality assurance of IT projects and awareness of the regulatory requirements with regards to IT systems. To be a willing, productive and co-operative member of the Project Services & Demand Management Team and the Customer Account Review group. The Project Manager will build and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders at all levels within the customer community in order to ensure that projects receive appropriate sponsorship, business effort, and support throughout their life cycle. The Project Manager will ensure that the rolling project plans are regularly maintained and monitored through the use of regular tracking and scheduling meetings with Project Teams, Project Boards and Portfolio Management Office. Responsible for managing the project budgets and working with internal procurement and legal advisor's on commercial work. Responsible for creating cost estimates in relation to potential future projects in partnership with the managers of other functions.
