This is an outstanding role for such a greatLinux Engineer such as yourself. You will be working at the cutting edge of IT for an award winning well established midsize IT Service Provider specialising in providing Cloud Services, Hosted IT, Infrastructure, Security, Backup, Disaster Recovery and many more services to businesses of all sizes. This is a challenging but very rewarding role where you will be part of the fastest growing team specialising in AWS (Amazon Web Services). Your role will be challenging and exciting where you will be involved in the full lifecycle of customers Cloud strategies. So that means you will be a key part of the team working with clients on providing AWS health checks, re-design, onboarding, architecture, support, BAU. Your Linux skills will be called upon every day as the foundation and driving operating system for clients Cloud Infrastructures. Many of your customers will be corporate companies with complex IT infrastructures, therefore your knowledge will expand quickly. You will get exposure to the latest technologies within Cloud Computing and Virtualisation and you will work along side very talented IT people who you can learn from.
It goes without saying that as working for an IT Service Provideryou shouldhave great communication skills and a very strong customer service ethic. There are superb opportunities for career progression in this company where you will progress and learn the latest Public and Private cloud offerings from AWS, evolving yourself into a Senior Linux Cloud Engineer or Possibly into a Cloud Architect. As an outstanding technical person you should have strong Linux skills with a basic understanding of Cloud Computing ideally AWS. Your Linux skills are more important as you will get training on the Cloud side.
You may well be working as a Linux Systems administrator or Applications Support Specialist or Linux Application Engineer or maybe just have a good knowledge of Linux (any flavour) learnt through your day to day role. You will be looking for the next step in your career where you can evolve your Linux foundation into the world of Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud computing by predominently working on AWS which is considered the leader in Public Cloud services. You should have a passion and desire to move into Cloud Computing which is the future of IT as we know it.
