- The consultant will focus on leading and developing sophisticated tests that enable SQS Test Consultants to perform the most complex load simulations to expose bottlenecks and accurately analyse the results to help ensure the service is fast and secure. - The candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand complex system architectures, understand and challenge non-functional requirements, pinpoint technical risk areas, demonstrate the ability to analyse data for bottlenecks, and develop succinct test scenarios across multiple hardware and software tiers. - Deep understanding of the elements that comprise the performance test lifecycle - Rounded experience of performance testing on multiple projects, technologies and verticals - Strong development experience in, but not limited to, any of the following languages:- C#, Java, C, C++ - Advanced skills with at least one of the following: - HP LoadRunner / Performance Center - Visual Studio Web Performance and Load Testing - JMeter - Automation tooling:- Selenium, CodedUI, HP QTP / UFT - Continuous Integration experience:- Jenkins / Cruise Control / Hudson - Test data management using SQL Server or Oracle - Test Management tools:- HP Quality Centre, Team Foundation Server
What do I need to know before I apply?
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship (unless stated otherwise in the job description) - This is a consultancy based role so you will be based from a variety of client sites and therefore must be willing and able to travel UK wide for long periods of time. You will be expected to work in a number of locations across the UK for extended periods. - Interview process - 2-3 stages, including technical assessment as and when required - Some roles may require background checks and security clearance
